Adelaide vs. Hiroshima – The Big Game
On Tuesday, we travelled into Hiroshima to watch my very first live Japanese soccer game – Adelaide United versus Sanfrecce Hiroshima!!! Naturally, I was an Adelaide supporter, though it was a tough one seeing as I actually play for the youth girls’ Sanfrecce team. But I didn’t regret my decision as we were welcomed happily into the Adelaide supporters area of about…10 people, as well as about 20 or so boys of varying ages who were randomly cheering for Adelaide as well. It was still really nice though to talk Australian to real Australian people, something I’ve been kind of lacking lately – Skype just doesn’t make the cut. Most of them would have travelled over here as a holiday-game double whammy. Anyway, it was really fun!!!

Another highlight was the misseling of ‘United’ on the massive electronic billboard. (The mistake was because they spelt it how it sounds.) Sorry about the sidewaysness, the Annoying Web Hoster makes it unchangeable. D:

Oh, and check out this Adelaide supporter’s sign:
