Return of the Incredulosity III

Posted by rubyrox on Aug 24, 2009 in Japan

OMG!!! It’s incredilbe! I made the first futsal trials! OMG! That was completely unexpected. Unfortunately, this means I have another flat-out weekend: Saturday; Japanese School, Parent-Teacher Interviews, go home, straight to faraway futsal trials, come back, straight to karate friend’s house for a sleepover, Sunday; next morning straight to karate competition with karate friend, straight to soccer game against Pascoe Vale, then home to make soap for my friend and I’s awesome homemade brand Enlightened (look, it our stuff, we can endorse it)……

So tired. Well, got to go,

Family Life Education and other unfortunate things in my life

Posted by rubyrox on Aug 24, 2009 in Bad thing!!!, School

Hellohello, Ruby C is back again after another horrid spurt of unwilingness to blog. I do have quite a bit of news! As I’m sure you know, I am Dorothy 1 in the school play. Also, I am in Tournament of the Minds competition with schoolmates EllaB, Siggy, Steph, EllaM, Izzy and Zoe. I desperately wanted to be in a group with my even better, best friends Chiara, Samadhi and Tess, but unfortunately bad things* happened and i ended up with my other good friends. That’s not as good because I’m not in a class with any of my besties!!! Oh well, my fault.

District Aths Postponed – AGAIN

Posted by rubyrox on Aug 24, 2009 in Japan

This a friendly (GRRRRRRRRR) reminder to tell you that the District Athletics everyone has been looking forward to for yonks have been postponed again until Thursday 27th of August. The reason? “It was a beautiful day, we just had to break young kids’ hearts,” VSPA representative Postponus Smith says. Local fortune teller Ruby May predicts the athletics will be postponed until December, banking up with the Zones, Regionals and State Athletics.

And save 4c per litre at Coles.

More l8er,

Success!!!

Posted by rubyrox on Aug 24, 2009 in Fully sick events

I did it!!! I made the hectic day of Sunday the 23rd! That really is commendable.

The Big Game against Berwick, you may ask? Major success: we won 4-0. WHITEWASH!!!!!!!!!!! I got a lucky goal. Then we rushed to Tournament of the Minds with one minute to go, where my group is going absolutely spaz – turns out, of course, that they can’t register without me. We did our performance; I thought it went really well! (No seriously. I’m barely biased…) The results are soon. I’ll put some of the photos and videos we took up asap. Anyway, I have a big karate tournament on Sunday, followed by a mad rush to get to a soccer game. Then the school concert, and I’m done! Yayyyyyy! Oh, futsal results should be coming soon, too, hopefully…

Well, I’m worn out now. I’m about to go to karate practice. It’s absolutely FREEZING out there. (This is unconsciously turning into a Twitter entry. Which reminds me, I’d better update.) I’ll blog soon, with even MORE updates. (Don’t laugh.)

Hello World etc. State Trials!*plus*

Posted by rubyrox on Aug 22, 2009 in Fully sick events, Sogger

Well, my dear and respected friends, I’m back! I know! Incredible! Which reminds me; have you guys checked out my Twitter yet! Please follow me! I mean, I know you – the audience – is actually non-existent, but I love kidding myself. Now, back to the currently intruiging* topic:..

Yes, you may have guessed, but I did have some kind of trial thingy on today. They were the State Futsal (indoor soccer) trials. We had one last week too. They were at a place about 45 minutes away. We went my friend Maddy, who plays in my soccer team. We are the two from the Thunderbirds (that team) doing these trials. Last week there were two rounds of girls trialing, but our second group only had nine people! Anyway, so today they put us – about 30 people – all together. This was the last session before they vknock some girls (namely me, I’d reluctantly have to bet) out. Basically, the split you up into teams and you just paly each other while 2 guys in sports jackets look at you,I was nervous. There was a lot of waiting around.

The competition was really hard. It’s not like the normal soccer trials I did earlier this year, where hundreds of girls everywhere just give it a go regardless of their skill level or whatever. However, in futsal, you really have to be serious and find out about the trials and commit, because futsal is different. These girls are serious – though, depending on how you look at it, you may exclude me from that category. I doubt I’ll make it anywhere near, and I don’t mind how I go – in fact, I’ll just be glad I don’t have to drive down to that place starting with B on a Saturday any more……………………Anyway, we’ll find out the results soooonish. Wish me luck. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (haha! this impeccably long blog isn’t over yet. you must kepp reeeaaadddiiinnnnnggg…..)

On Sunday the Thunderbirds (for the undiscovered Einsteins, they are my soccer team, remember?) are playing our biggest match of the season. We are second on the ladder and playing 1st, Berwick! We win; we win the season, we lose; vice versa.

Next on my irrevocably hectic weekend agenda (yes! soon it will all be over! rejoice!) I have Tournament of the Minds, where my group and I are acting in a play against other teams from other schools. So nervous. I’m team captain btw. So many forms to fill in….

On Monday (I swear, it NEVERRR ends), I have the District Athletix, at Sandy Reserve. I am in High Jump, Triple Jump and the Relay. Nervous. The day was postponed from Friday due to ‘bad weather’ (snort, giggle, laugh, eye roll, despaired face). However, I’m glad it’s been that way because now it’s at Sandy (it was going to be at Duncan McKinnon somewhere else), my mum may be able to watch me, it’s on a Monday like the tradition (the happiness of that possibly having more than a bit to do with missing out on a hard first day of school (yippeeee!!!)), and best of all because we’re all used to the track – it’s where we had our school aths. Wish me luck AGAIN. I know. I’m a very demanding person. Deal with it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx – in case you haven’t noticed, that’s the luck symbol (for lack of anything else to use), not the end of my EVEN LONGER blogentry.

But wait! There’s more! OMG! Ruby still has more babble! No, seriously. It’s good babble. (Is there such a thing?) On Wednesday…………my biography and story are due in @ skool! WOW! The crowd is stunned at this captivating piece of news. They gasp. They gawgle. Projects due in at school? NO WAY.

Ohhhhh, give me a break!! To me, that is riveting news (and the cause of many nights of fruitless worrying and days full of frantic writing. Since when were budding authors given a miniscule time limit to create a masterpiece? It’s great-mind cruelty, I tell you.). Plus, I’ll upload my bio, which is on Judy Garland, and story, called Get Off My Cloud (the aforementioned phrase being my new obsession), on to this blog so everyone can read it!

OK, bloggy (I think of the best names!!!!), it’s time for me to go. Catch all (guffaw, guffaw) you guys soon! I’ll update with news on the big game, TOM and the districts. Bye for now,

Ruby

xx (that’s the real goodbye)
